In the 1940s, there lived a man by the name of Albert Carter in the United States of America. His mother, Maria Carter was a medium. Albert watched his mothers’ sessions of contact with the dead and wished to make a contraption to mimic talking to the afterlife. Without needing to pay for a session with a medium.
